DESCRIPTION

Chute Release lets you control the altitude your parachute opens. For model rocketry.

Chute Release is a small electronic device that holds your rocket parachute closed until it drops to an altitude that you choose. This is great for windy days and small fields when normally your rocket would drift too far while descending under the parachute.

Simply wrap the elastic around your folded parachute and snap it into the other side of the release, then set the altitude from 100 to 1000 feet (30-300 meters) and you are ready for launch.

Violet N. ★★★★★

Setting the release altitude to 300 feet made recovery so much easier on my two-stage build. No more long walks across the field hunting for the chute.

Kevin R. ★★★★★

The barometric release is dead-on accurate—I set it for 300 feet and watched the chute pop exactly as the rocket drifted down. It's basically a one-button setup and the battery indicator gives me peace of mind before every launch.

Claire O. ★★★★★

Worked exactly as described on my first flight — the chute stayed snug until the rocket hit the set altitude, then popped right open for a soft landing. The little altimeter readout made dialing in the deployment height super straightforward.
