Cut them out and they lined up perfectly with the 29mm mount on my IRIS, zero sanding needed. The four fins are laser-cut clean and rigid, so the whole build felt solid in under an hour.

The four fins slotted right into my 2-inch IRIS build with the 29mm mount—no sanding or forcing needed. They feel sturdy enough that I'm not worried about them snapping on a hard landing. Exactly what the kit was missing.
